Built a Multisided Platform to Connect Local Crafters and Creative Learners
UPenn Integrated Product Design Capstone Project
CraftOn
Seeing a lack of support for local crafters and accessible creative learning, I founded and designed CraftOn—a platform that connects makers with learners through in-person craft classes.

Solution
Highlighting Customer Key Features
Personalized Quiz: customers can start the quiz and receive curated, recommended classes. New Classes: present new classes and direct customers to classes pages directly.
The hero section increases engagement as it increases email conversions by 4.3x through quiz submissions and reduces page bounce rate by 22%.
Filtering Craft Classes
All filter items are validated by users as important factors that affect their decision. Providing the filters increases the sense of control for users.
Building Credibility
Makers Intro, Testimonials, Membership information, and current Partnerships we have formed with venues provide more information into the legitimacy and scope of the platform
Setting the Context
For my capstone project, we observed that local craft businesses in Philadelphia lacked support, while learners had limited access to in-person creative classes, making it difficult for the community to connect and share skills.
Goal
Create a multisided platform that seamlessly connects local craft instructors with learners, simplifying class discovery, booking, and teaching.
My Role
I led the design of the user experience by mapping distinct user journeys for both instructors and learners, ensuring the platform addressed their unique needs effectively.
